New in 0.2: EaseInk now runs on a new, much lighter foundation. The Windows installer is about 8 MB instead of about 144 MB, and the Ubuntu package is about 7 MB, while the interface, menus, shortcuts, themes, and editing features stay the same. 0.2.9 fixes formatting that could land at the start of the document instead of on the selected text, Ctrl+Z after opening a file wiping the document or bringing back another file, and lost typing inside and right below tables. 0.2.8 keeps the layout of Word exports: code blocks, lists, tables, images, footnotes, links, and Mermaid diagrams now come out as they do in HTML and PDF exports; File ▸ Close is Ctrl+W again (macOS packages stay on 0.2.6 for now). 0.2.7 asks before View ▸ Reload discards unsaved edits, brings back dragging images from File Explorer into the editor (source mode), and makes the right-click menu match 0.1 again on Windows and Ubuntu: it only appears on misspelled words. 0.2.6 fixes a problem where reloading the editor page (for example with F5) left the editor blank, so saving could empty the file; F5 no longer reloads the editor and the right-click menu no longer offers browser items. 0.2.5 adds Paragraph ▸ Mermaid Diagram (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+D), which inserts a Mermaid diagram block and puts the cursor inside it; the diagram appears as you type. 0.2.4 added double-clicking the sidebar divider to collapse the sidebar and the thin strip at the window's left edge to bring it back.

Upgrading from 0.1.x: install over your current version. Your settings, recent files, folder workspaces, and recovery snapshots are kept, and your documents are not changed.

macOS release status: the Apple Silicon and Intel packages use ad-hoc signing and are not notarized. The first time you open EaseInk, macOS may say it cannot verify the app: open System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway (on older macOS versions you can also right-click the app and choose Open).
